Heather McCloud started tap dancing in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of three. It wasn’t until fifteen that she began to study and train in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and ballet. Five years later she was accepted into the Edge Performing Arts Center Scholarship Program and moved in 2004 to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a professional dancer. Signed with MSA talent agency, Heather has performed and worked with many of the industry’s leading choreographers, including Gregg Russell, Cindera Che, Mecca Andrews, JT Horestein, Andre Fuentes, Vino Perez, Rei Aoo, Leslie Scott, and many others. She was a member of Rei Aoo’s Dance Planet and is currently in Gregg Russell’s Tap Sounds Underground professional tap company. In 2009, Heather, along with her business partner Dan Bramlet, started Wild Card Dance Company, a children’s dance studio in Agoura Hills, CA. There she developed an award winning competitive dance team whose competition accolades include “Highest Overall Scoring Studio” awards and many top placing soloists and overall scoring routines. Her students have performed alongside Gregg Russell’s Tap Sounds Underground and gone on to sign with LA’s top dance agencies such as The Movement and Go To Talent. In addition to Wild Card Dance Company, Heather was co-developer of a dance based PE program currently implemented in the Las Virgenes Public School District. She has also been on staff at Edge Performing Arts Center, choreographed for stage productions such as Annie for the Young Artist Ensemble, and taught master classes at various studios throughout the country. Her most rewarding work, however, has been teaching for California Dance Institute, a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged, inner city kids find hope through dance. In 2015, Heather sold Wild Card Dance Company to explore a career in acting and comedy. Today you can find Heather training at Groundlings, taking a Meisner class, and continuing to share her love of dance.
